If you’re lucky enough to have power steering in your Subaru Brumby or MY wagon, you’ll know how rare these racks are — and how important it is to protect them.
These OEM-style EA81 power steering rack boots are identical to the factory-fit items and are very hard to source. They protect the rack from sand and grit that can scratch the sealing shaft, damage internal seals, and lead to expensive rebuild costs.
Unlike universal boots, these are the correct diameter, preventing them from rubbing on the engine crossmember. They also have the bypass hose insert port ready for the factory vent hose. Without this hose, the boots will crush and balloon during use, causing premature failure.
