These visor clips do the important job of holding your sun visor securely up and out of your line of sight when not in use.
Like many old-school Subaru interior parts, the original clips commonly become brittle, crack, or go missing entirely over time. Incorrect installation can also damage them — the factory screws were designed with a shoulder to prevent overtightening, something often overlooked during replacement.
